Chad grew up having a family dog.
After graduating from Conestoga College with a degree in Law and Security, he
went to work for Llewellyn Security and became involved in handling and training
protection dogs and later drug and bomb dogs. In 1994, he met Marie
Sawford, and she introduced him to competitive dog sports (flyball, agility, and
obedience). Chad would run her dogs, Quinn and Darla, in flyball and
agility, respectively. In March of 1997, Lukan's Sugar Kisses --
"Echo" -- joined the family and now competes in both agility and
flyball.
