Summer Survivor,
2005
4 Dogz with Ballz made their
debut in Division 2, pulling out all the stops and having some great competitive
races. We had two representatives from our team, Wichita
and
Callie, play in the Survivor
game. We all survived the summer heat and luckily so did the air conditioner
at Triple Crown! Megan won practically the whole raffle table on Sunday.
The Rummeraiderz took 2nd this time, and the 4 Dogz with Ballz and Dogz in the Hood both took 4th. We had only one title this weekend - Milo, FDCh.
Let Freedom Run,
2005
It was shop (and run!) 'till
you drop at the Superbowl of tournaments, Let Freedom Run at Reliant Center
in Houston. It was fun to meet teams from other regions and to race against
our friends from Region 5.
Here's how we fared:
Friday - 4 Dogz with Sheltiez, 4th; Dogz in da Hood, 3rd.
Saturday - 4 Dogz with Ballz, 3rd; Dogz in da Hood, 4th; Rummeraiderz,
4th
Shari's dogz nabbed all of the tltles at this tournament: Torque, FMCh; Tofu, FDCh-G!
Life's a Beach,
2005
What a fun tourney! The DR!
gang had a lot of fun with extra-curricular activites besides flyball,
including nabbing the whole pit bosses area. One good deed deserves another,
so the next day we found our crating area in the middle of the flyball
lane! Watch out Texas Twisters, when you least expect, it expect it!!!
The 4 Dogz with Ballz team took home FIRST again, and Dogz in the Hood took second. Even though the Rummeraiderz were seeded 3 seconds below the top of their division, they still managed to win some and take home 7th. A few new titles were added: Scooter, FM; Trixi, FDCh-G. Way to go DR!
Road Trip! The dogz trekked up north to play flyball at the Oklahoma City Festival of the Pet tournament, hosted by Top Dog Racers. There was a lot of fun racing, shopping, and a great raffle (DR! cleaned up!). 4 Dogz with Ballz took second, as did Dogz in da Hood. the Rummeraiderz also placed well, taking home 3rd place. There were lotsa titles as well: Pogo and Tofu, FDCh-S; Ling and Marz, FDCh-G; and Wichita, FMCh. We were also so happy to see Ezri back in the game!
The awesome dogz did really well at Margarita Mania, and the club debuted the Dogz in da Hood Team. 4 Dogz with Ballz came in FIRST in Division 3 (a first!) and the Dogz in da Hood came in FIRST as well in Division 6. The almighty Rummeraiderz took 5th place in Division 8. The Rummeraiderz have a new teammate, Montie, who ran for the very first time at this tourney! There were two new titles as well: Trixi, FDCh-S and Tofu, FDCh. Raise your margarita glasses to another fun tourney!
Spring into Action,
2005
Just like
the beer commercial, it don't get any better than this! At the Texas Twister's
Spring into Action tourney, both the awesome 4 Dogz with Ballz and the
almighty Rummeraiderz took FIRST PLACE! The Twist and
Shout team took 4th in a very competitive Multibreed I Division.
Lotsa titles this weekend: Marz got his FDFCh-S; Bruja, FM; and Rummy, FDX Other fantastic highlights were Kim and Pogo's not one, not two, but THREE PERFECT STARTS!!! Also, Montie the totally fabulous Corgi ran his first full runs in warmup and in Single Dog Racing. Many thanks to Laura Lee for filming and for all of the spectators that came out to see the Dogz kick some booty!
Hearts and Hounds,
2005
The Dogz ran under their permanent
team names at the Hearts and Hounds tourney for the very first time. Four
Dogz with Ballz and the Rummeraiderz had a blast running at this Valentine's
Day themed tournament hosted by Flat Out Flyers. Four Dogz with Ballz
came in third place in Division V, and the Rummeraiderz came in fifth
place in Division X. Marz got his FDCh and Milo
got his FDX this time. A great time was had by all, we especially enjoyed
hanging out with our friends from Colorado on the Ruff team!
Hippie Hounds, 2005
This was the best tourney
ever! Dogz Rule! participated in its first tournament as a club on January
22nd and 23rd, 2005 at Triple
Crown Dog Academy. The Smokin' Dogz and the Tokin' Dogz made their
debut and did really well. Smokin' Dogz came in FIRST PLACE in Division
V, and the Tokin' Dogz came in fourth place in Division X. Lotsa new titles
as well: Rummy, FD; Marz,
FD and FDX; Tofu, FDX; Mim,
FMCh.
