Team History
Happy Anniversary Fast Fourward!! In 2008 Our Team Celebrates Our 10 Year Anniversary!
Fast Fourward began because Debbie Vachal wanted to have a team where all dogs, despite their abilities, had an equal chance to play and have fun. At that time, the other local flyball teams were getting so big that not all dogs got an equal chance to run.
Gradually, we acquired more members. Debbie Vachal's daughter Kristy added Mickey to our team. At obedience class one night, Debbie asked Shelley to join, and Winnie and Sunshine began to learn flyball. The first tournament we went to was with just these
few people and their dogs. All but one of the runs at that first tournament were "no times", but we had fun! Soon after that first tournament, more people joined the team. Some have left and others have joined to make the team you see on these pages.
Fast Fourward is currently one of the largest teams in the State. At the start of 2008 we have 35 dogs rostered on the team with 20 handlers. We also always have a few in training.
We are also a very diverse team with 13 different breeds including American Cocker Spaniel, Australian Shepherd, Beagle, Border Collie, Boston Terrier, Golden Retriever, Italian Greyhound, Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Australian Shepherd, Mixed Breed, McNab, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Poodle (Toy and Standard)
We continue to work and have fun together, and we are planning an exciting tournament schedule for
2008!
