Trevor was born 7/24/97 in Advance, NC and competed in his first flyball tournament Labor
Day weekend 1998. Trevor has understood from the beginning that flyball is a race. He
doesn't care whether his opponent is another dog or a human being (for instance, he's just
as willing to race a child during a flyball demo), but he does require an opponent of some
type for the maximum enjoyment. In fact, early on in his flyball career he wouldn't run
at all in practice if there was no one in the other lane. At tournaments, Trevor can often
be seen sneaking a glance at the other lane while he's running to see where his opponent is.
He also always turns toward the other lane when he reaches the box so he can keep an eye on
the competition! Trevor competes in NADAC agility as well as in flyball. When he isn't
playing performance sports, Trevor also enjoys visiting The Oaks nursing home in Winston-Salem,
where the residents have learned of his love for bananas (or any other food, for that matter!)
Trevor now regards a visit to The Oaks as a sort of progressive dinner as he trots from room
to room to collect petting and treats. One of his favorite residents offers dog biscuits to
him by holding the end in her mouth and leaning down. Despite the fact that she has been
playing this game with Trevor for several years now, she still has her nose...
