Willow was adopted as a three month old puppy from whippet breeder Yvonne Sovereign. From
the very beginning she was a “social butterfly”. She loves everybody and assumes that
everybody loves her back. Indeed, Willow would like to personally greet everyone she
encounters. She is so friendly that she failed the CGC test ONLY because she tried to kiss
the examiner.
In addition to the CGC class, Willow has completed several obedience classes, a performance class and last spring, beginning flyball. She has also tried a bit of whippet racing. While she enjoyed the social aspect of all of these activities her participation was not particularly enthusiastic in any of them. It was not until the March 2003 Sirius Competition tournament in Charlotte that “Willow the flyball dog” was born. While flyball had been fun for her before, it was during that tournament that she decided she WANTED to play. From that point on it has been hard to hold her back, and I am sure her best times are somewhere out there in the future! Willow is owned and loved by Cathy Nunn, and lives in a household that includes two cats, Thai and Gabriel, and her Australian cattle dog brother, Jackson. |
