Flyball is a relay race for
dogs. There are four dogs on a team, and two teams compete against each other.
The dogs run….
While running and with other
teams, we noticed that too much emphasis was being put on winning and not as
much on having fun. Slower dogs were being left out of tournaments and
encouraged not to come to practice while the faster dogs were being pressured
to practice more and attend a tournament every weekend. We thought there should
be a balance. We wanted a team that could win yet still have fun and allow
every dog a chance to run. Foe Paw was born. We are a different team with a
different focus. If you want to have fun and just run, regardless of standings,
or train your dog to compete with the best, we have teams for both. All dogs
can run.
Foe Paw is a Flyball Club
located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. For years we have been in the
middle of a supportive canine community. Agility, Obedience and Conformation
all have numerous local locations, but there has been no Flyball club. Foe Paw
is the answer to the 45-minute commute to other “local” Flyball teams. Now dogs
in Torrance, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, Manhattan
Beach, Hawthorne, Lawndale and other local communities have a place to run like
the wind.
Foe Paw currently runs and trains at the Doggie Land Doggie Day Care in Harbor City. All dogs are welcome.
