Our History--
   The idea to bring flyball to the New River Valley was a result of the flyball demonstration on the David Letterman show in May, 1996. Denise (Lacey) Delaney deserves the credit for starting our team; without her enthusiasm and hard work, we would have never gotten off the ground. We held our first practice in October 1996.

    We went to our first tournament in January 1997, hosted by the NC Blockade Runners in Raleigh, North Carolina. We had lots of fun and learned where we needed to work. Our second tournament was in March 1997 held by No Speed Limit in Maryland where we had our first clean runs and earned our first titles. We also held the first ever flyball tournament in Virginia on July 19 & 20, 1997. Our first year was a busy one but lots of fun.

    In 1998, we really hit our stride. We hosted our second tournament, and our team achieved the Region 9 multi-breed champion title -- not too shabby for such a new team. We're proud of our accomplishments, but more importantly, we're having a ton of fun with our dogs -- and that's what really counts. It doesn't hurt that we repeated our accomplishments in 1999 & 2000 by once again achieving the Region 9 multi-breed championship.
