So, you wanna Flyball, do ya'? We'd be more than happy to train
you and your dog!
Go Dogs! Inc. offers Beginner Flyball Classes
to anyone with a healthy dog and a
willingness to learn! (Application at bottom of this page.)
| CLASS REQUIREMENTS |
| Your dog should be at least one year of age. |
| No handlers under the age of fourteen, unless approved by the instructor. |
| No aggressive dogs allowed in class. They will be referred for private instruction. |
Absolutely no abuse of dogs in any form will be tolerated. |
BEGINNER'S CLASS
The BEGINNER'S CLASS is eight weeks long, and costs $60.00 (+ $4.20 = $64.20). As of October 1, 2003, Go Dogs! is required to collect a 7% sales tax on all classes, and the application has been revised to reflect this change. Ball drive in your dog is a plus, but not absolutely necessary. (Some of the best flyball dogs are ones that had absolutely no interest in the ball in the beginning at all!)
In class, we will cover the basics of Flyball and teach you how to train your dog to be a good competitor. Reliable recalls, jumping, and box-work are just a few of the topics covered in class. Besides learning one of the fastest-growing dog sports in the world, your dog will learn the importance of proper socialization and make real-life dog and people friends of his own!
Classes are held on Sundays at 3:00 pm at the Go Dogs! Training
Center.
TEAM PARTICIPATION
When you complete the Beginner's training course and decide that you would like to race Flyball competitively, you are welcome to visit Omaha Speedracers practices and see how it's done!
