Jetta began competing in flyball in 1993.  From 1998 to early 2000, she did not run in competitive flyball, but stayed in touch with the game by running at demonstrations and occasional practice sessions.  In  January, 2000, she returned to the competitive ranks, and showed that she had lost none of her competitive desire.

Early in her career, Jetta ran the course in an average time in the mid to high 4 seconds range.  By the time that she had retired from competition in 1998, she had slowed to an average time in the mid 5 seconds range.

She returned to competition two years later, and we found that she had lost little of that speed.  She is currently averaging completing the course in the high 5 seconds range.  She completed the fastest run of her return career, a 5.08 seconds run, on 04-16-00.

Jetta finished the year 2001, her seventh year of competing, as NAFA's twenty-fourth ranking Labrador Retriever  of all time (on a list of  687 members of her breed).

In May of 2002, Jetta ran her points total over 20,000, finally earning her ONYX title.  It was a long run for that coveted title.  Jetta enjoyed every point along the way.

Jetta finally ran out of gas in mid 2003.  After all of the activities that she had been enjoying for 11 plus years, her body told her to stop playing the game.   Arthritis called an end to her career.  She retired as the  17th  ranked Labrador in NAFA.

Here we see Jetta catching the ball, before  beginning her run back to Jerry.
