Our Team's History:

Like several of the Southeast Michigan based flyball teams; we formed at the Ann Arbor Dog Training Club during the 1980's.  At first, we were known to many as the "Lab Club Flyball Team."  We began with only four dogs.   All were Labrador Retrievers --- Casey, Coal, Gulliver, and Laddie.

As more and more people were able to experience it, flyball began to grow in popularity.  Participation in the North American Flyball Association activities grew, and our team grew as well.  People with different breeds of dogs; both large and small, short and tall; have joined with us since our humble beginnings.

During the years, many people have spent some time with our team.  Senior members have shared their experience.  New members have brought additional dogs, fresh ideas, and more energy.  Our team has grown considerably, but our goals have remained the same - to have fun playing the game with our dogs.

It has been several very busy years for us, and we are ready to take a break.  We are currently in a 'down period' as we take some time to catch our breaths, decide where we want to go with things, and see when we are ready to run again.

Our Dogs:

Many of our dogs have returned to our Team's roots and have begun running on the Front Runners.  Click here to see how they are doing.

We  had 6 dogs earn  ONYX awards while members of our Team.  We are very proud of their accomplishments, and are thankful for their teammates' help in gaining them.  The dogs are:

Sadly, our dogs cannot continue to run forever, and they eventually must slow down their competitive pace, or stop competing all together.  As much as we do not want to see it happen, they must all eventually retire from the game that we all love so much.

Below is a list of many of those dogs that retired as a Pedal Pusher.  It also contains some current members of our team that get to enjoy competing only occasionally.

We miss seeing every one of them running at tournaments, but are glad that we got to enjoy the fun of being there while they were doing it (and that we still get to enjoy some of them doing it every now and then).
