"No- Frills Tournament"
All of the members of The QuickSilver Flyball Team would like to welcome you to our Sixth annual Mercury Rising Tournament. Thank you for entering and we hope all of you have a great weekend of racing fun!
Our tournament is being held in Davisburg at the Springfield Oaks Activity Center. The Activity Center will open at 7:30 am on Saturday and 8:00 Sunday. Friday the Building will be open after 3 pm.
Our judges are: Curtis Smith and Jason Crawford. We also have 2-3 other NAFA judges at the tournament so we may get a chance to see other judges in the ring!!!!
CRATING:
There will be assigned crating space for each club. You may set up crates Friday after 3:00 p.m.
PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS - clean up materials will be available at each of the entry doors to the building.
MEASURING
:Measuring will take place between 8:15 am and 8:45 am on Saturday and 4:30 pm on Friday. Please note: all dogs getting measured must have their CRN number.
WARM-UPS:
There will be a two - minute warm-up period allowed at the beginning of each race. Time will start at the end of the preceding race. The warm-up time is subject to change to a one-minute period if necessary.
LUNCH:
Lunch time will vary as time allows. The Springfield Oaks Grill will be open for breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and Dinner on Friday.
RACING:
Racing on Friday will begin at 5 pm. Racing will begin at 9:00 am in both rings Saturday and Sunday. There are two rings of racing using a one lane schedule format for Saturday and Sunday.
There are 5 regular divisions and 3 Multi Divisions and 1 veterans / open Division . All racing except veterans/open will be in a 3 of 5 format.
Regular-1,2,3,4 will be racing a Double Round Robin with a 3 of 5 format. Scoring: Teams will receive one point for each race won. Total points will be added together for final placement in each division. Highest combined points gets first.
Multi Division 1 and Regular 5 will be a 3 of 5 format with a single round robin and a single elimination. Round robin placing points combined with elimination placing points combined to determine placement. Lowest combined points get first.
Multi Division 2 and 3 will be a 3 of 5 format with a double round robin and a single elimination. Round robin placing points combined with elimination placing points combined to determine placement. Lowest combined points get first.
Veterans / Open classes will be a combined Single Round Robin 4/4 racing with 1 point per heat won. Scoring: Teams will receive one point for each race won. Total points will be added together for final placement in each individual division. Highest combined points gets first.
TIES:
Ties will be broken in the following order: Previous head to head in the round robin, best time head to head, then by the over all fastest time.
CAMPING:
The Springfield Oaks Activity Center has a limited amount of electrical hookups available in the upper gravel lot for camping. There is electric available cost should be somewhere around $15/ night or $25 dollars for weekend.
Showers and restroom facilities will be available 24 hours, located in the main building.
No equipment trailer parking in lots adjacent to the building or on the grass.
DIRECTIONS:
Springfield Oaks Activity Center is located in Davisburg, Michigan.
From I-75:
Exit # 93 (Dixie Hwy/Waterford); go north on Dixie Hwy to the first stoplight - Davisburg Rd. - Turn West on Davisburg Rd. and follow it to the town of Davisburg. In town, turn left/south on Andersonville Rd.; The Springfield Oaks Activity Center is about 1 mile on the right side next to the water tower.
From US-23:
Exit at M-59 and go east to Ormond Rd. Turn north on Ormond Rd.; when Ormond road ends at White Lake Rd. turn right/east on White Lake Rd. and immediately turn left/north to continue on Ormond Rd. Ormond Rd. will end at Davisburg Rd. - turn right/east on Davisburg road to the town of Davisburg. In town, turn right on Andersonville Rd. The Springfield Oaks Activity Center is about 1 mile down on the right side next to the water tower.
Please observe the No Parking signs and do not park in the Fire Lanes - The local fire department needs to have continual access to the water tower.
