Region 5 Veterans

      Rules to Consider:

  • Beginning 1/1/07, any dog seven (7) years of age or older can be considered for a Veterans team.
  • Dogs running in Veteran Class may not run in any other class during a tournament.
  • The race schedule in the Veteran’s class shall not call for more than a total of 16 possible heats per day, and the racing format shall not include a 5/5 or more strenuous format;
  • Dogs only jump the minimum jump height (which is currently 7 inches).
  • There are no false starts. All false starts are flagged and dog is to re-run as 5th dog if team and/or owner chooses to do so.
  • NAFA points are earned.
  • A team of Veteran dogs might be a combination of dogs from various clubs. However, each dog will remain on the NAFA records within their home club.
