Croydon and District Obedience Dog Club makes 2 Flyball awards at their annual AGM:
The Tyson Award, donated by Eric van Zuyden in recognition of Tyson CDX AD FDX, is awarded to a canine member of the Croydon Rockets Flyball Team in recognition of their contribution to the Croydon Rockets. Any dog that has completed as a Croydon Rocket at an AFA sanctioned Flyball competition during the year (1st April to 31st March) are eligible to be nominated for this award.

The Novice Award, donated by members of the Croydon Rockets Flyball Team, recognises commitment, improvement, achievement and contribution to the Croydon Rockets Flyball Team, of a novice dog and its handler. To be eligible for the award, the dog would have competed with the Croydon Rockets for the first time during the past 12 months (1st April to 31st March), after completing the beginners flyball class at CDODC.

The Australian Flyball Association presents annual awards for the flyball club of the year, team of the year, bitch of the year and dog of the year (dog and bitch awards have now ceased). The bitch, dog and team of the year awards are based on title points accumulated throughout the year, while the club of the year is based on the number of teams a club entered at competitions, the number of competitions hosted and the number of judges for each club.
