| To provide enjoyment and training for handlers and dogs, while ensuring
safety and community awareness. |
 |
| Basic Rules |
 |
| When training in public areas, we rely on goodwill of the general public.
Please be aware of the community around the training area and follow these
two simple rules. |
 |
-
Doogy Doo (or Don't). Bring your own plastic baggies so you
can pick up after your dog. Leave no Doggy Doo behind even in obscure places.
-
Loose Dogs. no dogs off leash except those currently in training.
Please dog-walk before class or well away from the training area.

| Flyball Safety and Teamwork Guidelines |
 |
-
Marking. Don't allow your dog to pee on the equipment. The
scent distracts your team member dogs.
-
Loose Balls. Loose balls distract dogs and can cause injury.
Track down your dog's ball immediately after each flyball run. Please pick
up teammates' loose balls whenever you see them. Return balls to the ball
bucket after use.
-
Where Am I? Speeding dogs and humans are a key component
of Flyball. Be Safe: Be aware of where you and your dog are
at all times. Treat a Flyball Lane (about 200 feet from the Box to the
very end of the run-out area) like a Freeway: Don't cross any part of a
lane when it is in use.
-
Teamwork. Teamwork is the basis of Flyball. There is a lot to learn and
do!
