Scandal

Scandal, a really great little Kelpie enjoys traveling with her mom (Candy) curled up in the passenger side of a truck day in and day out.  Some days she gets to go with her mom when she takes her horse for a leisurely ride. Other days she gets to romp with other dogs at the Superdog Daycare. On really GREAT days she gets to herd sheep while her mom convinces herself that she's actually training her to do it.  But last fall, the days that were HERS had really been too few and far between. Candy thought she needed to find something else to keep her very active mind, and equally active body, from imploding so she signed Scandal up for introductory Flyball classes. The Kelpie seemed to like it, and she caught on to the idea pretty quick, leaving mom to wonder if someone was sneaking in to train her at night while she was sleeping! Scandal was a natural and joined the next set of classes.  

This time Candy and Scandal didn’t even miss one class. The Kelpie was so proud of Candy for not missing classes that she put in a nearly flawless performance every week! Scandal got the box-thingy to spit balls at her and she worked hard to figure out how to let mom know just where she was supposed to be. If Scandal had thumbs she would have clicker trained her mom...it might have been a lot easier! Anyway, they graduated from Flyball II and on the very last try, on the very last day, the Kelpie finally crossed the line while she still had the ball safely in her mouth. She was so proud! Candy just couldn’t help it... and agreed to let her join the Flyball Team.
